Eyear 1 Hour Optical, Inc. was founded by Jim Crittenden over fifty years ago. Beginning with small neighborhood stores, Mr. Crittenden had a vision of the optical superstore and he opened the first department store for eyewear in Tennessee in the early 1980's. He has since opened stores in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Texas. While he has franchised some of the stores over the years, the parent corporation is still owned and run by Jim and his family.

Eyear Optical has been a leader in the optical industry for years and credits its success with the decision over fifty years ago to always keep the customer as the top priority. Quality, selection, and service keep generations of families coming back to purchase their eyewear year after year.
