Eye Exams

When you visit an eye doctor, they perform eye exams. During these exams, our optometrists check your eye health and vision. When you have a complete eye care exam, our eye doctors perform tests on your eyes and closely examine them. In addition, we will do a vision check to determine if you need corrective lenses.

You can expect them to use lights, special instruments, and solutions to look into your eyes. Some tests may feel uncomfortable, but you shouldn't experience any pain. Regular eye exams allow our doctors to monitor your vision, detect problems, and help keep them healthy.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses are corrective lenses placed in the eye. They can correct your eyes' vision the way eyeglasses do. Contacts are usually clear, but some have a slight tint, so you can see them when applying them to the eye.

While getting used to the first time you put contacts in your eyes may take some to adjust. Although, they shouldn't feel uncomfortable. If they do, your contacts may need to fit properly. Also, wearing contacts could worsen your condition if you suffer from dry eyes, which causes your eyes to become dehydrated, red, and irritated.

Eyeglasses

You may need eyeglasses if you notice your vision is blurry, especially when looking at objects far away. Frequent headaches from reading or staring at a computer can also indicate that you're straining your eyes. Visit our eye doctors if you are squinting to see more clearly. Our eye doctors will perform a comprehensive eye exam to determine if you need eyeglasses.
